Terms of Service

ApplyWorthy (“the Service”) is operated by Liao Hung-Kai, an individual sole proprietor based in Taiwan (“we”, “us”). The Service is a software directory of professional records: individuals voluntarily list anonymized professional information about themselves, and business users pay a flat monthly subscription for software access to search those records and reveal full contact details. By using the Service you agree to these terms, which form an agreement between you and Liao Hung-Kai.

What the service is, and is not

The Service is database-access software. It is not a recruiting agency, staffing firm, or marketplace. We do not broker hires, take part in negotiations, hold funds, or charge any commission, placement fee, or success fee. The subscription is a flat fee for software access and is the only amount we charge. Any hiring, contracting, or payment between a business and a professional happens entirely outside the Service and is solely between those parties.

For professionals who list themselves

Listing yourself is free. You create your own record and choose what to include. Your anonymized professional details (such as skills, experience level, and rate range) are shown in the directory only after a human review. Your name and contact details are stored separately and are never shown until you have given explicit consent to be revealed to paying subscribers. You may pause your listing, withdraw consent, or delete your record at any time, which removes you from the directory. You must only list information about yourself that is accurate and that you have the right to share.

For business subscribers

Access to full records requires an active subscription, billed monthly through Paddle. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period and then stops. When you reveal a record, you receive that professional’s contact details for your own legitimate recruiting and outreach use. You agree to handle revealed contact data lawfully: contact people only for genuine professional opportunities, honor any opt-out or do-not-contact request, comply with all applicable privacy and anti-spam laws, and not resell, redistribute, scrape, or build a competing database from the Service.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle.com, who handles checkout, recurring billing, billing support, and applicable taxes. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Refunds and cancellation are governed by our refund policy.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no scraping or bulk extraction, no reselling or republishing records, no using revealed contact details for spam or any unlawful purpose, no attempting to de-anonymize professionals who have not consented to be revealed, and no reverse engineering. Listing data about anyone other than yourself, or impersonating someone, is prohibited. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Accuracy disclaimer

Records are self-reported by the professionals who create them. We review records before they go live but do not independently verify every detail, employment history, or credential. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind; we are not liable for hiring outcomes, the accuracy of any record, or indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update the Service or these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
